What a shame. I've been to Athena well over a hundred times--nearly every week since they opened four or five years ago. Never, ever had a bad meal there. No time limit on tables either--- I've spent hours there. It hardly sounds like the same Athena I love--you might give it another shot. - Is follow up to post by joelouis ...
Four of us went to Athena last night and we were disappointed.
The Saganaki had to be sent back two times before it arrived anything other than stone cold. The sevice was very slow and the food mediocre.
And as we were finishing our after dinner drinks (after we had just paid the check) somebody came up to us and told us to leave because there was a "time limit" on the table.
I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anybody that want to impress their out of town guests or wants a special night out on the town.
